Taxi Access Statement produced by AMNI Transportation Helps Developer Secure Planning Approval

AMNI Transportation was commissioned to develop a Taxi Access Statement for a development in Manchester city centre. The local Highway Authority had concerns that taxi access to the development and the surrounding network at key periods of demand for the development may create highway issues. AMNI had to research the local taxi rank facilities in close proximity to the development, assess the waiting and loading restrictions in the vicinity of the development and develop a taxi access strategy for the development.

AMNI Transportation produced a Taxi Access Statement Report which was submitted to and considered by the local Highway Authority. The Highway Authority and Planning Authority accepted the taxi access strategy that had been developed and approved the application without the need for a planning condition.
